Japanese Knives at The Restaurant Store
At The Restaurant Store, we stock a wide variety of singly sold Japanese knives. These knives are of a very high quality and are often made using traditional Japanese blacksmithing techniques. Japanese knives are more suited to the quick cuts of Japanese cooking rather than the rocking motion of chopping used more in the West due to their single bevelled blade.In our range, you'll find styles such as Sashimi, Deba, Nakiri and Santoku, perfect for cooking traditional Japanese dishes such as sushi, but equally effective for cooking other cuisines. Some designs are available in both left and right-handed versions. The best type of knife will depend on what you are cooking, for example, Deba for gutting fish, or Nakiri for cutting crisp vegetable slices.
